General Information

Peterston-super-Ely is located in the Vale of Glamorgan region of Wales and is situated on the banks of the River Ely. The river begins in the high mountains south of Tonypandy flowing down to the sea at Cardiff Bay.

The village church is dedicated to St Peter with the building as it is today dating back to the early 15^th century. Peterston-super-Ely is a growing community with excellent amenities including a primary school and community hall.

The village has many local organisations and events, the most popular one being the annual Flower Show, held every June since 1932. There is also the local market held every 2^nd Saturday of the month where homemade goodies and all sorts of treats can be found - very popular with the residents and tourists.

This quaint village is ideal for hikes and walks of which there are many that diverge from the village centre, including a lovely heritage trail. The village is steeped in history and there is still some remains of a castle on view today.
